I am having problems recording tracks separately in Vegas and Acid. After importing a drum track wave file, when I record guitar with it playing in the background it creates a new file with the drum track and guitar track blended together. How can I record the guitar track so that it results in a completely independant track so I can mix the sounds better later. Please help, my email is [email protected]. Thanks

My answer will remain on the forum, not in email, but:
You need to look thru your signal path somewhere signals are crossing. Since you are using a sound blaster I am assuming the crossing is in the card itself, one of our FAQ's may have the answer www.homerecordingconnection.com/faq.php#q10 as this is a pretty common issue with SB's.
