Anyone use the E-MU 1212m with Cubases VST?

I took out my M-Audio 2496 ( I just couldn't get rid of a recording noise)and replaced it with this 1212m, I can get things to record, in the Cubases VST that it came with it, and I can hear it while I'm playing, I just don't get any sound when I play the recording back.
It came with this "Patchmix DSP" and I think it's just a setting in there that I need to get right.
Does anyone know anything about this? I'm just having the worse luck trying to find a sound card that will work right, actually I should say...that I can get working right, but I think I'm close with this one, there's actually a tech number they give you with this card, but I thought I would ask you guys first, thanks for reading.
