OK, sorry if this a bit basic. I've got a Behringer UB1204fx mixer and a PC running a M-Audiophile 2496 sound card. I believe I need to connect the Alt 3-4 outputs of the mixer to the Inputs of the sound card, then the outputs of the sound card back in to a couple of spare channels on the mixer, if I then use the Control Room Outs for monitoring purposes (is this right?) then it seems I have a pair of balanced Main Outs which are not being used - should I be monitoring via the Main Outs, or should I connect the Main Outs to the sound card instead of the Alt 3-4 outs? Help....

How I hook mine up is to run the outputs of the card to the last two channels of the mixer, then, assign those two to the main outs, which go to the headphone amp and daisy chained to the amp/speakers.

All the other inputs are my mics, DI boxes, amp sims and such. These are all assigned to the sub outs which go to the line ins on the card.
