Yesterday I was painting all day. While slaving away, my six year-old daughter put on her Hillary Duff CD. I actually liked it! We listened to it several times. I found the songs to be upbeat, positive, lacking any sexual references, and her band can really rock (probably studio musicians...) It's the kind of stuff I don't mind my daughter listening to.
You may be relieved to hear that today, while painting, we listened to Nirvana "Nevermind". I think she liked it. :-)

Nov 27, 2004 03:25 pm Yeah I found nothing wrong with her music, I even listen to it, I just get so annoyed when she starts to perform "live" aka Playbacking, or when she really decides to do it LIVE... she's flat...
Nirvana Always a pleasure listening to
But No more fun than spending time with your dad
I remember the time My dad was working on the car And I "helped" him by using sandingpaper and going over the car:P he didn't really like that whahaha, but it was fun:P
Nov 27, 2004 03:46 pm Yeah, Duff's music is upbeat and positive, which is good, it's just her overall singing talent that kinda sucks, hear her live...yuck, I heard it once...thank God for Antares Autotune.

Nov 27, 2004 09:58 pm I think is it a constant fear of parents when their children play the soft music...
what do you say to that? "Turn that crap up??" :)

Nov 27, 2004 11:21 pm Ya, I find it funny my kids dont listen to much of the light stuff anymore. Now and again maybe but never soft, its always turned to 11 in this house. Drives their mother nuts, and makes it tuff to work in here sometimes, especially if I'm not in the mood for what they are playing. Then I just crank mine up till they leave, or turn their's off.
But ya, Hillary does have a tight band for sure.
