Hi people,
there is a piece of hardware that I see a lot of electronic musicians use. I am not sure of it's name, but I know musicians such as Radiohead and NIN use it.
The device has a flat panel, and you can use your finger on the panel to move around...and when you move it around, it changes the effect of the sound. It creates weird sounds and special effects.
I am not sure if that's a good explaination, but if anyone knows can you please give me the name of the peice?
Thanks

Nov 02, 2004 05:25 pm Ive been wondering about those too. Thanks for clearing that up, Flame. I saw a Radiohead show on Cinemax or Showtime and one of the guitarists was using one of those and it got me curious as to what it was. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle. Yo Joe.

Nov 03, 2004 08:55 am Ya,
John Greenwood uses it in certain songs (ie. "Everything in it's right place"). I have always been curious about the hardware. It really caught my attention when I went to www.nin.com and saw it in one of the pictures (Go to the CURRENT section, click on the third picture[blurred black/white thingy], bottom left). I am a huge Radiohead and NIN fan, so I HAD to find out what the thing was.
I e-mailed some music shops near my house here in Toronto, Canada. One got back to me saying they retail at $399 US, so they would sell it for $599 Canadian. ya right!
I guess I will be shopping for it on Ebay.
