i just bought an aardvark q10 sound card and i already have a soundblaster audig installed. i hear people talk of having 2 sound cards installed but im not sure what it takes to run them both. will windows automatically assign different system resources (irq etc.) to the aardvark or do i have to do something special? the bearly english speaking lady at microsoft support says it cant be done but obviously some of you have gotten it to, so any help would be appreciated. thanks!!

The lady at Microsoft is wrong for starters.
The motherboard assigns resources during the post, if an IRQ is being shared, try one of the cards in a different slot and try again. If you can't get it to not share you need to enter the motherboard BIOS and hard-set the IRQ's. Instructions for that should be in your motherboard manual.

Oct 21, 2004 10:57 pm Some cards play well with others better but I think there are a couple of peeps here using the Aardvark Q10 with another card installed without any trouble.
