yo i'm probally gettin a custom pc can anybody tell me if this is a good computer for making beats and laying vocals over them. Is the computer really really fast or just quick please let me know. the specs are basicly

yes, that is very fast. TONS of storage and will work flawlessly for "making beats and laying vocals"

And indeed, it is fast enough, and will work fine. With that rig, install Sonar Producer 4 and a good audi interface and your all set.

Oct 21, 2004 12:25 am I didnt see that it came with a sound card. Depending on what your recording concerns are, you could be looking anywhere from $150 - $1500 for a decent sound card. Make sure you have an actual "recording" sound card too. Soundblaster Audigys and similar are designed for gaming. Many of us will tell you to avoid those!
Other than that, it looks like that computer will do you just fine. I looked at your profile and didn't see see what other equipment you have. But you may want to get a cheaper computer and save your money for monitors, condensor mic, mixer, etc...Just an idea.
