"Batcave" Type sound

Listen to the Bauhaus song "Hollow Hills" or "Bela Lugosi's Dead". They are very ambient and sound almost like they are playing in the batcave. I've been wanting to achieve this sound but don't really know how. I've added different amounts of Reverb into individual tracks and used Panning tricks, which somewhat help, but I'm thinking I might need to add some form of Delay to the songs. Any sugestions? Thanks

what reverb do you use? and what kind of settings? I would guess that reverb would be the effect of choice for this kind of sound...

If you have a reverb patch called Cathedrall or maybe Stadium or Arena. You can use these sparingly for that type of sound. You will want to make sure you use it carefully though. Because the have huge tail's and massive amount's of delay and reflection. So it is easy to get buried in them.

I do believe the VST reverb in Cubase has some preset's that are the big arena type. But as I said use them sparingly. And dB might have a couple more tidbit's so watch this post.

Being unfamiliar with Cubasis I dunno what comes with it, I doubt it is the full reverb that comes with Cubase. Let me ask you this, what parameters and presets do you have available in the included reverb?

After Tweaking the Reverb effect a little I found that it does have a Cathedral effect that I liked that gave a bit of dimension to the sound after a little bit of me playing with it. I also used Panning tricks and things, actually sounds kinda nifty. Thanks guys
