looking for advice on recording setup

Hi,

I want an external sound card to record through. I want at least 4 analog inputs (two stereo for bass and guitar). I'm considering the M-audio firewire 1814. Is there some other card that I should consider?

M-Audio Delta 44 - great card.

I use this - 4 ins / 4 outs. No midi and no digital but a kickass card all the same.

Latency is no issue, quality is top notch and it comes with a breakout box so you can plug yer 1/4 jacks straight in i.e. from your mixer/preamp/whatever.

This is 4 mono balanced in's/outs tho...

Why are you plannin on recording the bass/guitar in stereo when they are mono signals??? This is just curiosity by the way - I maybe picked you up wrong on that one.

Either way, Delta 44 is a top card.

Good luck

Coco.

Delta44 is internal tho, The Lexicon Omega service.bfast.com/bfast/c...mp;bfmtype=gear is external and has gotten some great reviews.

Fair dues...thats what i get for failing to read the post properly!

Ah well, if you ever need an internal 4 in/out - the Delta is good!

Apologies for the confusion.

Coco.
