I'm about to spend $50 on some loops - Drum n Bass, funky butt loops need not apply.
It seems like Drums on Demand and Beta Monkey offer some of the more useful and affordable loops for my style - rather than define it, I'll say what kind of music I like:
Coldplay, U2, Switchfoot, Emmylou Harris, Guster, Allison Krauss w/Union Station, etc.
I like the samples from both of these companies, but it seems like Drums on Demand has seen more favorable reviews on this forum. I do like how they are organized on the disc.
I'm looking for opinions from someone who has loops from both. Beta Monkey looks like their stuff is about 1/3 cheaper than DoD.

Sep 01, 2004 10:56 pm I use Drums On Demand and I'm pretty happy with them... they make it really easy to piece songs together by creating song sets organized by BPM. The only thing that I've run into is that they record different sets on different kits, so taking a verse from one set and a chorus from another usually doesn't work out. Kind of a bummer... although, you can also build the beat yourself using layers and individual hits, which are also included on the CD's (layers are new and were added in Volume 3).
