I'm trying to use vst plug ins in Cool Edit Pro, and I need a VST wrapper to do that. I got one from SpinAudio.com that's free, but it keeps crashing on me... I've even reinstalled CEP and it still does it. Can anyone recommend another VST wrapper?

Thanks!

Uuuuu, no.

Seriously tho, there may be one out there, but I got the Cakewalk one with Sonar so have had no need to look.

I've got the one from SpinAudio and it works just fine for Cool Edit on my computer. But if it just wont work, there is one other one. It's called something like Directixer or something of that nature. It was free when I downloaded it and didnt have any limitations like SpinAudio's free one. However, that one DID crash Cool Edit CONSTANTLY. But it may work for you, who knows.

GEEZ! Apparently, it'll cost you in the neighborhood of $50 now. Sorry.

Actually, all I want is a free one that works on one effect at a time. But, whatever...

hey TC, $69 gets you the upgrade to AA 1.5 which supports VST plugins, along with some other cool new features. :)

ps I've been working on the mix, have to rest my ears till tomorrow to make sure what I've got sounds good. I'll upload the new take soon as I'm sure it sounds okay. lol
