Making Your Own Effects Rack

Hey guys

Im wondering if any one knows where abouts there are some basic articals on how to make your own custome effects rack. Is it cheeper ????.

Do you mean the actual rack itself, or your own components to put in the rack? I made my own studio desk with a rack on one side, selves for non-rack gear on the other, a slanted top rack for my mixer and topped with two speaker shalves and I did it all for under $200 and it turned out great....so yes, it's cheaper...

Can't say as tho I do...I just designed and built my own without any real "instructions"...but then I have been building stuff since I could hold a hammer and screw driver, so it kinda comes more naturally having grown up with a machine shop in my dads garage...

that must be the only idea for something flatpacked that IKEA hasnt used yet...
