free gate plugin?

I've got a vst plugin called CHOPPER by Steinberg that acts as a gate that opens and closes according to tempo. It makes a wave stutter, sort of, if you guys know what I'm talking about. Well, the thing is, I use this alot, but the one I have is horribly flawed. I was wondering if any of you guys know of a different plugin that does the same thing, preferably on that is free.

Jun 17, 2004 08:25 pm The plugin would chop sound at a given tempo, even with different envelope selections and note length options, but it wouldn't always be in sync with the rest of the song. In other words, yes, it woud chop at a reliable tempo, but it wouldn't be matched up on beat with the sequencer, in fact, it would be on or off depending on when you hit hte play button. Especially when using it in a long render, and then finding out that it was off, was terrible. By the way, MinkusMaz, I LOVE YOU MAN! That's awsome site! All kinds of awsome looking freeware plugins, and that floorfish seems like exactly what I need. I'm not at home right now, so I can't test it out, but I'm sure looking forward to it. Thanks!
