Google offers webmail...sort of, Yahoo ups theirs

In the never ending battle for your internet time, Google just started carefully launching their "gmail" service, it's by invite only (I already have my name@gmail.com, so neener, neener :-) and people are actually SELLING invites on eBay and getting good money in the frenzy to not be stuckwith yourname162534@gmail.com. It has a 1GB limit (ya, that won't last long). Then, I log in to my usual Yahoo! Webmail to find it's been upped to 100MB with a 10MB per message limit...plus a slick new interface...must be part of the game.

I find it funny...these wacky tech .com business trying to one-up each other...

Oh, and gmail's interface blows big sticky chunks.

Wait for somebody you know to earn the ability to invite people, or, go buy an invite on ebay...or there is some gmail swapping site out there somewhere...I got lucky and a friend invited me very early on. I tried to use gmail tho and the interface sucks...I'll stick with Yahoo and my private domain addresses...

Jeez, 100 Megs? I may migrate on over to Yahoo. I'm getting 10 MB at mailpuppy.com, and they're not really a great service. Thanks for the heads up.

Yahoo's interface is nice too, plus each message can be up to 10MB...
