Got a real stumper...

Hi, guys...it's been a long time since I posted here. Good to see you are still here!

I am stumped and could use your expert advice. Back in 1998, I won a grand prize giveaway from Guitar Player Magazine. Included in the package, among other items, was an X-Wire "X-905 Digital UHF Wireless System". I have always used it for instrument applications and it is truly the most clean and strong wireless I have ever used. Anyway, I do some DJ'ing on the side and have been searching in vain for the XH905 Handheld Wireless mic that goes with the X-905 System. X-Wire, the company that made the X-905, no longer makes any of this stuff. They sold the technology to Sennheiser a few years ago, but Sennheiser does not offer support for X-Wire stuff. X-Wire (the company is still around...they are in CA) says that you can occasionally find the XH905's on ebay, but I have had no luck. Do you guys know where I might find this oddball mic? Do you have any connections to this kind of stuff? Have you had any experience with X-Wire? I'm desperate to find this mic because it would be extremely useful without having to purchase a whole new system. My X-905 operates between 905 mHz and 925 mHz, and finding lavalier (lapel) mics or handheld wireless mics that support those frequencies has proven fruitless so far. I would hugely appreciate any advice or info. Thanks in advance!

Mike

That's kinda crazy. I don't have any experience with this sort of thing, but maybe someone else will. Not really a common question, you know.
