Apr 30, 2004 11:05 pm You need to set the snap grid up correctly. First I will assume you will be cutting right on the measure, so make sure it is selected for mesaure. Then make sure in that same window down in the lower left you have the box checked to snap to zero crossing. This will eliminate any pops you were hearing.
The reason for the pops is that without cutting at the sero crossing of the audio wave you may be cutting through a rise or fall when the amplitude is getting louder. So it will of course pop or crack as it is reading the digital audio at a louder volume the 0.
