The pod fx is wicked but I dont think it has a pitch changer but it has all kinds of amazing stuff for direct recoring. It is mainly an amp modeller, but has a load of effects as well.

i have an old digitech rp7 valve here. it does all that. maybe not limiting. but check into the rp- line. i think they still manufacture that series.

The Boss GT6 and the Digitech GNX series effects processors are great units that have about everything but the kitchen sink (and you could probably come up with a preset for that <G>).

I need this multi efx processor vocals. These look like their intended for guitars. Any suggestions?

When you say "pitch (voice) change" are you talking about, a pich shifter, a harmonizer, or a pitch correction device? I'm a little fuzzy on exactly what you are looking for in that department.

I want mainly a pitch shifter, but the harmonizer and pitch correction would be nice too :). I know I can change the pitch using software effects, but I want something in real time. Though a compressor is my main concern, I'd like something that did it all without having to use multiple efx processors.

if no one here can provide a model name, you should ask at a music store. they do exist specifically for vocals, though i'm not sure about pitch correction. we had a singer audition for us once who had a dedicated vocal multieffects pedal. it sounded great! (but we canned him because he just poured it on).

here's one, it looks like:

service.bfast.com/bfast/c...mp;bfmtype=gear

i think he owned this one.

and it looks like you can find pitch correction in the various rackmount models, including the tc helion stuff. more expensive, though.

This is TOTALLY what you are looking for service.bfast.com/bfast/c...mp;bfmtype=gear for pitch correction.

Thanks for the reply. The helicon was more like what I was looking for but the price was steep. I guess I'll need to buy 2 seperate efx processors racks(compressor and pitch changer) and save money that way. Would you recommend this method?

Compression unit are usually only bundled with gating and limiting effects, the good ones at least, I would definately make that a second unit to buy, especially since the compressor will find a lot more uses than the other stuff.

I have a TC Helicon Voice Works. It is a very sweet unit! The price is somewhere around $700. It has pitch correction, harmonizer, mic pre, TC Electronics Compression, EQ, Tap-Tempo Delay and Reverbs. I havn't had as much time on it as I would like, but it is something special thus far. The price tag is the big hang up with that unit.

For pitch correction the Antares ATR-1A that dB gave you the link to works quite well. I have one and it does the job without breaking the bank.

I had an Antares Vocal Producer. That had a bunch of goodies in it. Pitch Correction, Mic Modeler, Tube preamp model, variable knee compressor, de-esser, 2 band EQ, double tracking. It has a price tag of about $400. I sent mine back. Personally I didn't like it. It just seemed like they were trying to cram too much into the unit, and it fell short on quality. Even the pictch correction didn't seem to stack up to their ATR-1A model.

Personally I think you would probably be better off with a couple of idividual units. There are a lot of good compressors out there. If cash is tight, I picked up an Ashly SC-50 compressor off of Ebay for a little bit of nothing. I love those old Ashly compressors! As far as pitch shift goes, there are a lot of multi effect units out there. I like my Lexicon MPX-500. Then you get some nice Lexicon reverbs, and delays along with it. I wouln't mind checking out the new Lexicon MPX-1, but it's pricey. TC Electronics M-1 is about $100 cheaper than The Lexicon MPX-550 (new). That's a nice unit, with a lot of features. There are cheaper units out there, It just depends on what you are looking for... both quality and price.

Thanks for more info. The way to go is to get a couple of individual units. I should be getting them in a month or two and when I do, I'll let you all know how everything turned out. Thanks again.
