Start long winded post here:

So, I've been super busy this past two weeks, trying to master a cd compilation that my record company is preparing to put out. The cover art is just about finished by our designer, and she did a great job! Anyhow, the mastering process has been tedious, and I've used lots of neat tricks that I've picked up by trolling the forums here regularly. So, thanks guys! Yeah, I think it has come out really good. I'm going to give it a couple more listens tomorrow and give it the old double check. Then, on Monday, we send it off to the manufacturer to get 1000 units professionally pressed. As this will be our first release, I cannot wait to get the finished copies back, so I can start getting them out there.

The compilation is 12 tracks deep of local (sf bay area) underground hip hop and a small bit of trip hop music. I'd say 10 of the 12 tracks are extremely good, and though the other two aren't quite up to the same quality, they are still very cool pieces. The compilation is called Electric Halo (think headphones) and is part of me and my partners efforts to highlight underrepresented, independent hip hop. We also put on shows here in the bay. Like I said, I've been working hard on this and have made lots of sacrifices to do this so I'm extremely excited that the first leg of the many legged journey is about to be complete. This has taken a lot longer than it should have, but now that it is so near, I'm so ready to do this. Wish me luck yall.

ps, I'll probably do another post when we get the finished cds back, but I just wanted to get this off my chest, cuz I've been working on this and needed a release. Thanks for bearing with me.

congrats! it is always a good feeling to have your goals come to fruition, especially when it showcases your creativity. Not many people get to do a full album with their projects and be 100% happy with it. Real Cool.

i know how it feels... it is good. personally, my best friend (singer) and i (guitar) started this project 2 years ago and completed our line-up just last year. it's been crazy but we're releasing our 1st album under our label, Clairvoyant Records, and having our first show be our CD release party. Oh yeah, I'll be thanking HRC on the album.

but again, good job.

Wow, thanx guys. Glad this place has helped. You guys can put me on your order list for the CD's as I like the stuff both you guys are doing. Oh hell, I like almost everything and that s no secret.

And coolo, tuna took your Cd to school with him today and was jamming while working in music class so the teach had a listen and liked it and popped it on for the whole class. Needless to say you gained a bunch of new fans here today. His teach was impressed when he went into detail about you and how you made that music.

And they all liked the S.C.U.B.A. achronim.(hope that the word Im looking for)
