i have an oktava MKL2500 tube mic with its own power supply - will phantom power bother power block or the mic? i know it will not harm dynamic mics but it will damage battery operated electret condenser mics.

as of now i never use the tube mic with a phantom powered condenser mic on as a precaution

It should be fine.
I have a Tube Condenser Microphone with an external power supply and it states in the manual that phantom power will not harm it. I've tried it-- and it doesn't.

Yeah, actually, all I had was a spec/precautions sheet with mine. Perhaps you can download a spec sheet from Oktava's website?
