i'm using cakewalk 2004 xl.
at the bottom right there are two small meters, one named 'cpu' and the other 'disk'
when one of them is maxed out, the software has a dropout. what tiggers these meters?

Mar 02, 2004 09:54 pm Any sound from cakewalk will trigger those meters. They're showing you what percentage of the processor you're using. Hence the reason for the dropout. Once you take up too much of the processor time, it drops the unnecessary processes.
