Help with "The Gear Bag" needed

Hey gang, I am really putting some time and effort into beefing up The Gear Bag section of HRC. I have added the ability for you all to email me with products that you would like to see listed or like to review, plus, I am adding categories and moving stuff around to make it easier to find what ya need. And I have another idea or two I want to add in in time as well...

If you have some time, and you haven't done so yet, please, look for some gear that you would like to praise or complain about and give your two cents. This section is to help others find gear they need and geet feedback about the products from other members. So whaddya say? Throw me a bone here and rap off a couple of reviews in your spare time. I would sincerely appreciate it, just keep them honest and helpful, whether good or bad.

Thanks peeps!

All righty dB, I added my reviews for the Traynor YCV80, the Boss stomp boxes, and the ART Tube MP. Thanks for adding those!

POD XT and XT Pro are now listed.

Noize, good idea on the drum machines. I'll do that in the next day or two, that I think deserves a category of it's own so I'll make a new one.

Thanks loads for all your help in The Gear Bag gang, it's coming together GREAT.

just did everything else i own.

might i recommend some sennheiser mics for the gear bag? i own the e-835 and use it for vocals. it has an 'interesting' low frequency response that might appeal to some people.

I'll be glad to help with this feature, as much as I can. I just left a review for the m-audio 2496, I'm sure I'll do others soon.
I had a thought - how hard would it be to create a page that displays the available products in a way that you can order the list by the rank of each raiting?

forty - got a few sennheisers in there

TDB - why do you think I am begging people to get reviews in there ;-) That is already in the bag of tricks when the database is ready for it.

flame - thanks, I removed the link for the autocom...product is still there, just not linked.

So what is the concensus? Is the gear bag looking better and easy to use? What say ye?

I like the gear bag. Good changes. The reviews are a nice feature, and it seems like equipment advice is what drives a lot of people to HRC anyhow, so I think it's a great tool to have.

i think prices would be useful on the main page if poss....i was looking at compressors on there, within my meagre budget, and had to go into the MF page to find a pirce. even something rough would be cool i think, personally...

Well... prices are a good idea, but that sounds like a lot of work to maintain accurate data, don't you think? What about price ranges instead? For example, <$100, <$200, <$350, <$500, etc... Ranges wouldn't change as often.

That is my prob with prices, then someone would have to check often to see if they are still the same. Software gets sold out and discontinued when new versions come, hardware gets cheap as time progresses and new products are released. If it wasn't for that, I would love to have prices included...

Oh, and Noize, there is now a Drum Machines section with your request and two Dr. Rhythm's listed.

Kool, and yes the gear bag is looking splendid. When I get done with the scout video thing i will head into the gear bag and drop some reviews as well. Again, I think it will be a big hit as it is coming along nicely.
