snake?

what is the best kind of snake to get for my studio? i need something around 80-100' but with clean quality. it will be going into an aardvark q10 pro. anyone using a snake in their studio??HELP!!!

depends on what you want to do with your snake... I use a mono to stereo trs snake to connect from the insert points on my mixer to my compressors and outboard effects, and the same thing to go from the outs of my keyboards to the stereo ins on the board... but that's the only thing I use one for.

anyway, Hosa is a good brand for cables and snakes INO but others may have more info.

Hosa's good, just make sure your gear can pump out a good signal, and that the cable/signal is balanced, if you're going through 100 ft of cable.

Gonna cost you a pretty penny too.

I built a snake from parts bought at PartsExpress www.partsexpress.com I think there website is www.partsexpress.com They sell just about any audio component. they have bulk snake cable 8 channel or 12 channel, I think.
then you can put that in your studio and solder up the XLR connetors.

I used mine mainly for live performance, but when I get around to wiring my studio for mic inputs, this is what I plan on doing again.
