I just finished a new one called "Slap Jam". It's in the Instrumental section of Members Music, on the pro member side.
It's a funk fusion jam with bass and hand drums. It's something different for me stylistically. Check it out, let me know what you think. I've only heard it on headphones so far. The bass part gave me a huge blister on the second finger of my right hand... :)

*updated* nevermind, I just realized it's because its in a lossy format to save space, so of course it sounds a little different. original is fine... :) hahaha

Nov 19, 2003 12:06 am Pretty cool tincan, I think it needs some jazz guitar to go along with it (of course I'm knda partial to guitar <g>). :) You sure can play those hand drums!

Nov 19, 2003 02:46 pm It doesn't really need it tincan, I just thought it would sound nice with a touch of background accompanyment. Nothing really competing with the bass line, just quiet background type rythm guitar. :)

Nov 19, 2003 11:13 pm Ya could try keeping the guitar very deep in the mix. Soome spacial reverb and very quite. Otherwise I liked it, sounded very natural to me.

Nov 20, 2003 07:32 am Thanks man. Yeah, I think I'll pick at it some this weekend, maybe come up with a guitar bit. I'm actually turning out two versions of this song, by request... my wife has been asking me to record myself jamming just on the drums, so at some point I'll be stripping out the guitars and doing just drums for her. :)
