I'm doing some work at Fort Snelling which is right next to the airport. I'm supposed to fly out back to ohio friday or saturday.

Hey I'm going to see the matrix at the AMC 14 in the Mall of America at 7pm tonight ...might be a little late to get a group together... If you want I could stop by your place probably tomarrow after work(we're doing separation hearings and we never really know when they are going to end)

...of course I'd need directions... as this city has a weird freeway system and worse drivers :) (stoplights on entrance ramps?! what the hell!!?)

Oh, that sucks dude, this week is a bust for me...my wife has class tomorrow so I am taking the kids out for some yuks. Too bad your not around for very long...Noize2u and I are about 20 miles away from ya.

Actually, a year or two ago Gov Jesse shut off the ramp lights to study the affects on traffic and it helped in some places and hurt in others...so they were adjusted accordingly. This area has outgrown the freeway system VERY quickly and lots of construction is going on. Watch yourself in that theatre, a buddy of mine used to manage it and said there were gun-weilding incedents at least weekly from all the punks coming to the mall to raise hell.

If you come back anytime soon, let us know, I am sure it would take about 30 seconds to talk Noize into going out for the night and partyin a little bit.

doh!

I might be back in a a couple of months depending of if a get a full time job at the reserve unit but the unit I'm in now come out here fairly often.

when we first encountered the lights we didn't know what to do...we'd be in the ramp with two lights, one on each side, and they'd be different colors. My NCOIC whos been here before just said "follow the one thats green" :) ...and it's not that the freeways are busy (atleast in our area) just the ramps are really short (because of the lights) really tightly curved and nobody seems to yeild.

No, drivers are pretty rude sometimes. The light on each side is for ramps that, during rush hour, form two lines...during non-rush hour the lights usually go off, but they run a little bit longer than the typical rush hour does...

Yup, Gators at 6PM on Saturday...I got a pass from the warden. :-D

Too bad you won't be around til Dec. On December 5th a bunch of guys (including Noize and I) are going to BW3's (Buffalo Wild Wings for the uninitiated) for beers, wings, and most importantly, the Vikings Cheerleaders. :-D

4th floor gators...ok. I don't recall where that is but there wasn't much to the 4th floor anyway.

I'll be wearing an orangish flannel shirt and a black leather coat.

In side or out side the place? and we going to be useing real names? :)

It actually wouldn't be that odd for me tho, muffins, cuz db is also my intials and many friends call me "db" or "deebs" and a couple of old childhood friends still call me "dweeb" cuz my middle inital happens to be "w" and as a kid I was often nicknamed that due to my initals being "DWB".

So really, if anyone would shout out "db" I would respond out of habit... ;-)

what does the 'w' stand for db?

sadly, my initials spell 'JAB' - injection jokes a plenty!

Yeah, I was thinking that-- kinda cool the way "db" are also your initials.

Now, if people called me "Porp" or "Porpoise" that would be kinda weird. Some people do call me "Muffins," though! :)

Well, that is what led me to name my bvusiness dB masters, it's my initials (ironically my wife's also) and it's an audio term with decibels as well...plus I am a mastering engineer...seemed logical...as it turns out there is some guy in England named David Brown that had the same thought I found out a couple years back :-D

Oh, and the W is for Wray.

And Sam aka:Zek, take a look at the pic in my profile, I dont look much differant from that now except for glasses. dB and I will be together. I gotta check my T-shirt stash and Ill let ya know what it is. Probably black, either Family Values tour, or black with white print The Wrath of the Left Hand of Burns

Just for the record, my nickname is Pig thus PigPen Studio. Ive had that nickname since I can remember. Besides my initials are PRL, not much there for nicknaming.

See ya saturday.

I had a blast...Sam's a cool dude...and is the first person that I have met from HRC, which was totally cool.

We solved 2 or 3 world problems over 3 or 4 beers, so it's all good. :-)

Now I am going back to bed...

I had a great time though waking up at 5am this morning for work was a little iffy :)

Looks like I'm going to have friday off before I fly out on saturday if we want to do it again.

I had a good time as well. Although, yes indeed getting up for church was a bit groggy. But all in all, yes indeed as dB said I think Sam is a kool dude. He will now be recagnixed as the first HRC member to be met by dB and myself. As for Friday, I dont think I would make that. I have about 750 christmass wreaths to divide up and for the cubscouts, so Ill be a bit tied up.

well It looks like I got out of Minnesota just in time... the snow flakes started falling as my plane taxied out to the de-icer trucks...

...unfortunatly... when I got home and started going through my mail I found a jury summons :0 ...so thats what I get to do for the next two weeks. Its not a bad system the commissioner has devised though... we can show up when ever we want in the morning...and we don't HAVE to be here until 1:30...plus discounts on parking and resturants...

Gald ya made it home OK. To bad about the summons though, But as you say if their system is kool then it shouldnt be so bad.
