ok suppose you were getting ready to lay down some vocal tracks.. and you have a good mic preamp (hhb radius 40) and a mixer with a built in preamp(behringer 1804x) and a couple other processors in the chain..

whats the correct order on this? and should i remove the other processors should i decide not to use them? the way i see it.. the hhb has to be better than the behringer preamp..

so where can i place it to make sure that i am getting the most out of it?

ps. dont have the hhb just yet.. but i will here in a couple days, so i figured id ask ahead of time to make sure im ready to go when it gets here hehe.

Use the HHB straight into the board, just make sure not to crank the board's pre to hard. Remember the gain is highest at the begining of the chain. I would put the other FX into the aux send and return loop, that way you can pop it in and out at will. I would run the 1204 first in the chain and then the votec.
