The ART tube preamp system is on sale at Musicians Friend. Well, for anybody else thinking about buying one it's good news, but for me it's not. I ordered mine a few weeks ago, got it, and returned it because one of the VU meters was kind of busted. So I get this e-mail from musician's friend that says they got the one I sent back and are sending the new order out to me free of shipping and all. But I notice it says that the TPS is only $239! Then I go online and yup, clear as day, there it is: $139... I was pretty mad, needless to say. So I bought mine for $179 and I'm not even going to end up getting a working model until after the thing's gone on sale, and I still have to pay $180!
It really doesn't seem fair since I could have just requested my money back and then purchased a new one only cheaper, couldn't I? Ahhh... I'll have to ask 'em about it. I imagine it's too late now.

Well, as it turns out, I'm only being charged the $139! The $40 goes to store credit that I can use on future purchases. Good deal! Now I'm glad the thing was broken :)

Oct 02, 2003 10:19 pm i was surfing musicians friend today and saw that 4 channel behringer compressor for only $99. well i thought to myself, that's just a deal i can't miss. but being me, i can't just buy something impulsively like that so i decided i wait till band practice tonight and ask if any of the other guys need to order anything along with me. so i get home tonight and go to put my order back together and lo and behold, the berry is back up to $129. blast!!!
i am buying one of those ART preamp systems though.
