i know this is a wierd question, but how can i get my drums to sound like grohl's on the first nirvana album,and his work on qotsa? if anyone can help me, that would kick ***.

Sep 22, 2003 12:42 pm play REALLY hard, like you hate the kit, get everything miced up to the hilt, then get it mastered so it just can't go any louder and you should have it!

Sep 22, 2003 12:54 pm a lot of people think that nevermind was nirvana's first album, might be worth taking that into consideration. i think a lot of people are wondering how to get that dry, boxy, lofi sound that's on the qotsa record.
but pixie is right, it's mostly about playing.
