Literally. This letter is a whole-hearted thanks to you all. I have been reading topics on this forum for the past five months or so, amidst doing major home improvements after gittin' married and buying the house. (And chaos breeds only chaos.) When I first posted here, you pointed me in the right direction on sound cards (decided on Layla) then you told me some good programs to use (chose mostly Nuendo, Sonar but some other tools come in handy) and then you helped me hook it all up when there was just one bug in the communication (Instruction books are not always the friendliest interface.) Inbetween throwing the living room walls through the window into the back of the truck and trips to Home Depot, I intermittantly found time to sit down and learn the basics in some software for music recording after cut-n-pasting a lot of posts from here into a word file. My husband is a professional musician of 35 years and I am the only one who knows how to work a computer, so between the two of us we are getting some things done. I just wanted to thank you all for giving this newbie recording such a wealth of information. I could not have done it alone dedicating less time than a full time job. Still reading, and hope to share tunes soon, after some more trial and err'in, reading and sharin', Peaksislander

Jul 13, 2002 02:57 pm Now that is great to hear, thank you very much for stopping by and for sharing your experiences. It's a constant learning process, hopefully we can be a small part of every step :-)
Glad we could help!
Jul 13, 2002 04:48 pm Now, if it were all cut, dry, and easy, it wouldn't be much of a creative process, would it? Thanks again... you have all been in this home more than you realize...
Jul 13, 2002 04:54 pm OH, we realize it, just look over at the light fixture in your livingroom on the ceiling and wave and say "Hi Guys" ;-)
hehehehe
Again, glad we could help, and please, stop by anytime, you know where to find us.

Jul 19, 2002 12:14 am I don't know. I would just make something up and post it all over the internet. And then we wait and see if you become a popular cult figure, and make the headline's in the daily new's.
