Well, in the light that AOL just layed off all their Netscape developers, and IE has stated that the only new version of IE will be via windowsupdate makes me wonder whats in store for the browser wars.
I just found MyIE2 www.myie2.com/html_en/home.htm which is a super cool front end for IE, it works with IE's rendering engine, but is a great, multi-tabbed interface with popup killing and tons of other stuff...and it's free. I have been using it for a couple days and it seems pretty cool.

Jul 18, 2003 07:38 pm Failing that I have been using Mozilla for months now - version 1.4 is out and it's completly open source, the way essential applications should be

Jul 18, 2003 08:16 pm Ya, I have Mozilla as well, not a big fan of it myself. Development is slow (it has taken 5 years to get to version 1.4...and they have left their roots of a light, quick browser andit's now as big and clumsy as any other browser. But it does finally render pages well now that they are in the 1.x versions...those pre 1.x versions sucked...

Jul 18, 2003 09:06 pm Well, the be honest I don't actually use Mozilla anymore, I am using "Firebird" which is the next generation of Mozilla's browser. It's still in the alpha stages (and so does crash rarley) but it is amazing, and very quick and lite too.
