Saving Changes in Wavelab

Let's say you load up a wave file in Wavelab (4.0), and you apply a bunch of DX and/or VST plugins by loading them on the 'rack'. Are these changes saved when the file is saved? The reason I'm asking is that you can close the file while all the plugins are loaded and it won't prompt to save or not, as it usually does in any program when you make a change to a file. I just want to be sure I'm saving the changes I worked on...
