hi guys...boy was it hard to find a forum that you can actually post a question about cubase!!!

ive had cubase AI4 Yamaha audiogram 6 on my previous laptop which had windows vista for a few years now...

ive got a new laptop now with windows 7...and I have two questions...

1st - can i install and will it work on my new laptop?
2nd - do i have to uninstall it from the old computer, or will my licensing provide issues for me...

or...put another way...as I am not too computer savvy..if you were in my position, how would you move your cubase onto your new laptop and what are the processes you'd have to go through..

any help would be muchly appreciated...cheers
dingo

I am not sure what licensing scheme Steinberg uses any more, it could present a problem, but in truth, it's nothing that a call to steinberg couldn't solve, hopefully you don't have to do that, But, it SHOULDN'T make a problem.

Does that system work with Windows 7? To me that would be the bigger problem, making sure it's compatible with a new OS.

What was said "weird type file"?

If you went from a 32 bit to a 64 bit OS, then yeah, you might have some issues...
