Well, my keyboard was scheduled to be delivered the day I flew over to NC. I waited as long as I could, but they didn't get it to me before lunch.
Today is the 3rd delivery attempt and then they send it back. The other day, I went online to see if I could tell them to hold the package for me, but apparently it is inelligible for holding. >_
I sent an e-mail to them to ask what my options were, but they haven't got back to me yet. Grrr.
I have a feeling it's going to get returned, and I'll probably have to get them to send it again after I get back on the 30th. :/
End bitchin' and moanin' :P

Feb 04, 2013 04:24 pm Hehe, all in all, though, they did indeed hold the package, and I did go pick it up at a facility over by the Cedar Rapids airport. I think I put a pic up recently of the new keyboard in place. :P
I got a Novation Impulse 61-key. And I'm really liking it so far. (plus the keys are much much quieter than my old XBoard) The only negative for me are the endless rotary encoders, which turn wayyyyyy too easily. There is like no resistance felt while turning.
But, otherwise, it's a good controller. The arp feature is kinda cool in that you use the drumpads to turn on/off notes in the arp pattern.
And, speaking of keyboards, this winter's NAMM has unveiled some very nice stuff. Korg is re-releasing the MS20 in a slightly smaller size and they also have the King Korg, DSI has the new Prophet 12, Moog has the subphatty, and that's what I've seen so far without digging too much.
That Prophet 12 is a thing of beauty. The Oscillators are DCO as opposed to VCO, but it's 4 OSC +1 SubOSC per voice!!!! That's pretty crazy....plus it is bi-timbral.
So pretty: I, however, do not have $3K to throw at it....maybe someday. *dreams*
