I don't know if any of you have found this app. I just put it on my phone, and checked it against my Smaartlive 7. I have to say that it's pretty much dead on!
The free version doesn't allow for many adjustments. But it's still not bad.

Dec 21, 2012 12:01 am Ooh, that's a nice find. Wonder how well it will work on my tablet.
Android FTW :D
Well....maybe playing live is not so win due to latency, but other stuff is win! :)
Dec 21, 2012 12:28 am It should work just fine. Don't worry about latency, as it does have a peak hold function.

Dec 21, 2012 11:27 pm So, on my TF300T, assuming I got the thing calibrated correctly (I ran pink noise through my speakers, and on another time, went into the most quiet place I could find, both types of calibration seemed to give me the same response)
So, anyway, assuming everything was working like it should, after turning off all the fans (well, not my computer) it looks like the noise floor in my room is about -61dBfs RMS with peaks around -50.
I know it's not the quietest place to be working with music, and if I understand relative noise levels right, the -60 to -50 range sounds about right. Maybe I'll get myself an SPL meter soon and see how that correlates.
Also, it seems the mic on my tablet seems fairly sensitive as I was holding it maybe half-arm's length from my face and the analyzer changed as the mic apparently picked up on the sound of me swallowing. :P (though, i've been told that if I'm thirsty and guzzling, I sound like a damn horse when I drink :P)
I think it will come in handy if I can manage to get into doing some live sound for the Cafe I frequent.
Dec 22, 2012 06:07 pm Sweet! Glad to hear that it's running well. It's running just great on my phone, and seems fairly accurate without even running a calibration yet.
