I'm recording a bunch of original songs for a friend of mine. He has a really cool style and I'm liking how his songs are coming along. What do you guys think?

Dec 09, 2012 10:15 pm I uploaded the new version. We're really cranking these songs out fast. We get all the tracking done in a day and I take another to mix.
This track is using superior drummer, programmed by me. Bass was also me. Everything else is him. I really dig his voice.

In my opinion the bass could come down 1-2dB (or maybe scoop more low mids out), with a touch more compression to hold it in place.
And some harmonies on those Ooooh's on the last chorus.... :-).
Really like the vocal placement.
Dec 12, 2012 09:18 pm I agree, and I had the bass a little lower. But Richie (the talent) wanted it higher. Maybe I'll lower it back where it was and just not tell him :P shhh.
