click the flaming words.

its a sick song, really solid performances.

that being said, there are quite a few mix issues that stick out to me.

the lead vocals are way too loud, and the guitars sound pretty thin. the drums might need a little work too but i think theyre the best sounding part of the whole thing.

the whole mix is missing some balls and punch, probly mostly due to the guitars. would you be interested in a free mix? I'm dying to get some work, even if its a handout. I havent been motivated to mix anything lately becuase I havent been motivated to record anything.

Thanx for the critique quickxkid. The advice is well taken.
I'm recording on an old Roland 880 EX and am bouncing trax into the abyss. I'm about to scrap this run and start over to add more drum fills so they don't sound the same throughout. I have thickened up the gtrs and have achieved more balls in the overall sound and am currently re- writing / recording the lead vocals on this same run.
As far as you mixing - (the offer is much appreciated) Depending on if you want the seperate raw drum trax too - there are 16 tracks.
1. Low bass drum
2. Higher / tighter bass drum (I mix these two to get the solid bass drum I like)
3. Tight poppy snare
4. Airy loose snare (I mix these two to get the snare sound I want - well it's close but I actually wanted a more "ringy" sound...
5. Toms left
6. Toms right
7 High Hat & Cymbals
8. Left Guitar
9. Right Guitar
10. Bass Guitar
11. Lead Guitar
12. BU left Vocal
13. BU right Vocal
14. Centered Chorus Vocal
16. Lead Vocal

However, I want to add the different drum rolls and new vocal trax on a new run before I waste your time.
And, before I intend to scrap what I have - I'm working out the new lead lyrics and vox track.
(I'm keeping the Chorus Vox as is (well they are the same - but I have also tightened them up on this current run.)

Still interested? Even though it may be a while before I get the new run completed?
(I'm not sure how well the end individual track sound will turn out once I add the internal 880 effects to eack track - bounce it - save it - then send it to you - then you re-assemble them???
Never tried this before...

I re-wrote and re-recorded the vox and tried to re-mix.
Any suggestions? Anyone?

I think the vox are somewhat inconsistent...first I think too quiet, then a word or two will blast out...maybe some more compression to give it some consistency?

Re-re-recorded the lead vox and tightened up the BU vox on this same run.
