Feels good to perform again

After so many years of working hard, raising kids, building a life/career and such for security, thanks to a friend I met through my wife, I got to start writing and recording again...then, thanks to a friend of HRC, Noize2u, got to perform again at a club he runs sound and lights in, on an open jam night that just started up on Sundays.

Felt so good to be on a stage, even with minimal audience, to be under lights, yuckin it up, playing tunes, having fun.

I just wanna say, this is where it's at...no better feeling...Noize2u rocks, so does the club he works in and all the guys that come out to jam.

Dang, fun. I feel young again, other than my noisy, sore knees. :-)

We need to make it back up there again sometime before we move. (moving date not determined, wife still job hunting)

She's aiming for scientific assistant editor type positions related to neuroscience. She spotted one through Elsevier, a journal called Neuron, but unfortunately the posting was removed while she was still writing her cover letter. :(

So we're still looking for something in that vein. If we can't get something by the end of the year, she may fall back to teaching at like a community college or something. We'll see what happens, of course, I'm trying to keep an eye out for potential things as well. :)

Glad to hear you got some performing time in. :)

it'd be awesome if you could come up again sometime when Paully and I had time to hang out, enjoy some cold brews and chat, whether in a club or on my driveway...It'd be awesome.

...and thanks, it felt good, it's been to long, it put some spark into this aging soul.
