Im trying to run another stereo poweramp
and use 4 8ohm cabs with this PMP4000 board
Id love to get some ideas/schematic on the best/optimum
to run this setup for live perfomance.
also using a 3 channel X-over
Ive ran other systems b4 but they were already laid out prior
and NEVER ran a stereo setup but wanted to if I started my own Band. Behringer isnt exactly what I would call thorough with its
explination to the board layout either. im curious about a couple
of inputs (not sure if they r like other boards..).
those inputs are as follows:
MAIN OUT 1 & 2 (both having 2 TRS jacks)
AMP IN (again 2 TRS Jacks In)
thanx for any help b4 I get this thing up n runnin :)

Well, the first thing that you have to understand is the fact that you are using a self powered board. That said. I need to tell you that you are not going to be able to use your crossover. A crossover is looking for a line level signal, not a speaker level signal. The difference being 1.23 volts for line level, and 25 volts plus for speaker level.

The bast way for you to set up your system would be to take the 1/4" speaker cable from the back of the amp sections left, and run that to the first speaker on the left side of the stage. Have the second speaker that you have right next to the first one on the left, and use a small jumper cable to connect them. Do the same for the right.

With a self powered system, your very much limited to this type of set up.
