Can a drug test be beaten?

Hey all,

First off, just to set the record straight. I do not do drugs and this test is not for me. I need to know for other reasons of a personal nature that I will not get into. I will say though, that I need to know for certain if a person is using or not using drugs, and if there is any way to cheat a hair test.

I have read about products that detox so you can pass a test. Do these work?

Any and all input would be appreciated.

Hmmmmmm, well, urine tests are pretty darn easy to beat if you have a couple days notice, even blood tests can be depending how resourceful you are and how much notice you have, a hear test though, I really can't say I have ever heard of of any way to beat that...the only thing that comes to mind is bleaching or otherwise treating hair could have some effect on the test I would think, not sure to what degree.

A quick googlin' found this www.passahairdrugtest.com...r_drug_test.php

Thanks dB, I hadn't found that link yet.

Here is what i have learned so far from reading online. Apparently they can get the following results using a hair sample. For every inch or so, 1 month... so with three inches of hair you would be able to go back 3 months approx. Minimum sample is 1 inch... (might explain why this person is keeping their hair unusually short).
I have read about this toxin washes before but was wondering if what I have read about them is true. IOW's how does one separate marketing mumbo jumbo from fact? Afterall, everywhere I have read has had an interest in selling product. (havn't read the entire link yet dB)
This is a very important issue for me right now. I can't get into details, but those that know me here know that I'm not just fishing or trolling.

Thanks

Heck, it's because I do know you I chimed in as quickly as I did, and yeah, what you have gathered thus far is about the same I have heard, however, there are vitamins and minerals that can make hair grow faster...I would caution you to jump to conclusions though about the length of the hair...it could just simply be that they are too hopped up on goofballs to want to take care of long hair...and while that sounds partially in jest, my point is it may not be a conscious effort to avoid drug tests.

I hope everything is OK...or, will be anyway.

cant beat a hair test. only way is to cut it shorter than an inch, or whatever it is. urine is easy, bloodtest impossible. If yer talking weed, it think they can detect it up to 12 to 18 months in yer system, tho there is a cut off point, so you are allowed a small amount in youre system before they jump on you.

No i dont do weed, but ive worked on minesites for years and you get to know all that stuff.

On the other other hand, meth, e's, cocaine etc is usually out of your system in around 3 days depending on how strong it was, how much water you drink in that time, and how much of a junkie you are in the first place, i guess it can build up somewhat, somehow, tho i cant see how. Mate of mine tested pos. after 5 days after he had it, go figure.

Uh, at least one more time . . .

It seems to me that drug tests are, in general, an outrage. No decent, democratic society would (or should) put up with this sort of blanket intrusiveness. Too often (like in Florida) they are simply used to crack down on "troublemakers."

Florida recently enacted (if memory serves) a rule to pass drug tests to get welfare, which I think is awesome, as long as drugs are, in fact, illegal. If you are on the dole, accepting a handout from the taxpayer, I find it 100% acceptable and think it should be enacted nationwide. Once you are living off other people's money, your rights and freedoms are subject to answering to them, I believe.

Regardless of personal opinion on whether drugs should be illegal or not, fact is they are, and as long as they are, tests will be mandatory...for parents dealing with their kids, companies dealing with their employees (professions where employees are driving, say) and such situation I find them completely acceptable.

im with you on that one dB, Shouldnt be paying for lifer welfarers to have more kids either.
Not sure what its like there, but over here they just pop kids out like nothing else and the more they pop the more money they get.

Pricks need there tubes tied. end of the day, 18 years later, most likely, the parents are still on it, and their 5 kids as well ready to pop more and claim more. Its a vicious circle. Lets face it, it cant go on...countries simply cant afford free loaders like that.

Well, I won't paint with that broad of a brush, and really, really don't want to turn BH's thread into a social commentary in that regard, but yeah, there is similar stereotypes going on here, and it does happen, I don't believe it's as common as some folks would want you to think, but it certainly does happen...and I agree, while on social assistance, many freedoms should be curbed...

I have a butt-load of comments to make on the subject of how assistance is allowed to be used, how easy it is to get and more, but again, BH had a serious inquiry, and I know him well enough to know it wouldn't have come up if it wasn't of the upmost importance to him, which, by proxy, makes it important enough to me to not derail.

Another thread, another time. :-)

His hair is shorter than an inch right now. Apparently body hair, since it grows slower, contains more history. I'm not sure if this can be requested in this particular situation but a body hair test seems to be the most difficult to beat.

Oh, the test is for cocaine and not marijuana

Found this:
Can body hair be drug tested like hair from the head?

Body hair can be drug tested just as hair from the head. The growth rates for body are considerably slower than the hair from your head. Most body hair is replaced in about one year. It is challenging to precisely represent the time period of a standard screen with body hair so substances may be detected in body hair for up to 1 year after the substance left the blood stream.
