Cool IR-ish compressor from former Sonalksis developer...

I was doing some research into thoroughly misleading internet knowledge while considering whether to invest in a UAD device/plugs and decided against it. All I really want is a good guitar bus compressor with a gritty flavor and a good transparent compressor for everything else. And an echo, but I don't know what to do about that yet. Was looking at Waves H-comp for the flavor comp (friend had a copy that sounded great) and a decent transparent compressor. Seems a guy named Dave split from Sonalkis and created a pretty wicked compressor in concept. He makes accessible to the user all the little parameters that developers would tweak to achieve a modeled clone of a specific compressor, then you can save those advanced settings as a mod. It reminds me of that impulse response technology that some reverbs have. Just came out this April and it's only $150. Definitely trying the demo for my current project, thought you guys might find it interesting. It's called COMPassion.
