Hello
I am using wavelab essential to make an audio montage of wav files to burn a master CD for replication. Followed all the guidelines and ticked check CD before burning. Burned okay and plays back in my computer no problem via my itunes media player but will not play back on my CD player.....is there a problem, or will the CD replication plant accept this as a glass master ?

May 28, 2011 09:36 am get your track and put it in a "playlist" in iTUNES, then click it, and choose burn playlist.
Sounds like your burn disc is set to "data" atm and is the reason its not working in CD players. I used to do all the time too.
If your burning straight form wavelab there'll be a setting much the same you need to change.
You need it set to "audio" burn not "data".
Hope that skins it for ya.
May 29, 2011 06:41 am Keep in mind that iTunes will NOT burn a compliant audio disc --- Never figured out why, but they won't change the burn method for some reason. I've seen iTunes discs do the weirdest things... I've seen them cost people thousands in re-replication also.
Not familiar with WLE, but I'd dig around the manual / check with customer support. It will write a red-book compliant disc (where so many other programs won't).
Semantics Sidenote: You're not making a "glass master" -- The glass master is made in a level-3 clean room by guys in space suits at the plant.
