Anyone seen this type of connection before? I'd love to hook this up to a record player if possible:

Apr 02, 2011 12:01 pm I would grab a multimeter to make sure there's no power coming through any of the pins, and to find out which pin (pins) are ground.
Once you've figured that out try connecting a phono jack to some of the pins. See which ones make noise :-).

Apr 04, 2011 01:51 pm I see how that could be useful...but is that safe to do? I counted 5 tubes inside this thing and I wouldn't be poking around in a guitar amp that had 5 tubes in it. Ignorance strikes again.
Thanks!
Apr 04, 2011 02:04 pm I'm not sure what type of connector it is. But, I can assure you that it will not have high voltage on it. The pins are to small for that.
The only thing is that you will need an oscope to see the audio signal.

Apr 04, 2011 02:54 pm Interesting, so I should be able to see audio signal from an input on the radio? There's a DIY electronics store I'll pay a visit to tomorrow morning, see what we can find.
