Hey everyone,
I'm using AA3.0 without issues until today. When I fired it up to record there was almost a full second delay form the time I spoke into the mike until Audition recorded/displayed the wave.
I'm using PC
Rode to Peavey PV 6 mixer
USB out to PC

I know this goes beyond the usual set up of drivers, selecting inputs/outputs etc. I can't find the answer anywhere in this forum or others.
I know it must be asome simply setting I have inadvertently clicked on or something.

Any help is appreciated!

How well is your PC keeping track of time? Do you notice your time to be out all the time? If so it could be spyware/virus or an application that has a memory leak.

Are you hearing a delay in the mic or only seeing a delay in audition. If only seeing it, run the metronome and count with it while recording, then play it back and see if you are in time. Visual delay does not necessarily mean anything. I have some projects with 30+ tracks and the visual draw time is definitely delayed.

If you are hearing a delay, make sure the monitor dropdown is set to external and not to audition mix.

Also, make sure your buffers are set to the lowest possible without crackle/popping. I run at 128 or 256 and never have a problem. The only time to crank some buffers is when mixing or live tracking as it won't matter.
