Behringer Giutar Link recording problem

Hi,
I'm new to using my iMac computer to record and have bought a Behringer Giutar LinkUCG120 to do it. I managed to get it to record my guitar going through my GT6 effect unit, but the sound isn't great and I can't listen to the drum track (already laid down in garage band) and listen to what I'm recording at the same time.

Any general help would be appreciated to do with this as well
