Hey all, this is my first post here..You all know how it is to listen to a song back a million times and lose any semblence of context when mixing. That's why I need some help..
I'm also concerned with the vox- performance and mix wise. Depending on what you guys hear, I may redo or leave as is. Thank you.

Jan 13, 2011 05:01 pm Welcome to HRC. Nice song!
I think the vocal performance is good, if it were my song, I wouldn't feel the need to redo them. Mix wise I think the bottom end is slightly muddy.. I might try and cut some of the low frequencies in the vocal (below 80Hz) and maybe the pulsing synth. Also, for my taste I would want the drums to stick through the mix a bit more, especially the clap sound (but I'm coming from a hip hop background so like I said it could just be a matter of taste). Lastly, in the beginning part of your song when all the parts are not playing yet, some of the breathiness of your vocals are harsh in my ears. I might think about manually editing the vocal .wav to pull down the volume of those breaths.
I hope this helps.
