Tascam USB failure on imac garageband

hi all,
for a week, I cannot record with my tascam 122kmi ...
the green light of my USB is fast lighting on and off and on and off...

I record with garageband and never had problems. My Usb tascam and imac are quite new. (1 month) ... In the beginning I removed the usb cable and plugged it in again ... and in the beginning it was recording again, but after a while it what that flickering green USB light on tascam again. Now I cannot record at all... when going to garageband it immediately starts (usb green light) going on and off very quick)

What could be the problem?
