This track is orchestral/choir. Well, string orchestra anyway, and yeah, I know my choir sounds kinda suck. Can't afford the EW or VSL packages yet though. Nor can I construct phrases or worldbuilding as they call it (i think) Er, so you get what you get xD

I'm aware of some timing issues with some spots. I was sick of editing midi note positions, and I missed at least one or two spots that could be cleaned up, particularly the last few bars.

Some of the snare rolls could use some cleanup, which I'll probably adjust. Same for the bass drum. But, I did get a nice usage out of my padKontrol for the drum parts. I had some free percussive gig samples. Think G-Town Church was what the package was called. The snare and bassdrum are both from that package. The flam-feature on the padKontrol was very very handy for creating decent sounding rolls.

The female Lead I'm not 100% on, and may redo it.(and for the record I haven't edited it much yet) For the generic choirs, I may make some minor changes and adjustments.

The female lead sound from the Samplitude freebie that IK put out recently. The generic choir are a layering of the KBH-Real-Choir and PapelMedia ChoirAaah Soundfonts. Strings are a layering of AAViolin soundfont, the viola from samplitude, and EWQLSO freebie for Vins, VCS, and contrabass.

Hey Jbot, this is pretty cool! I like the female lead... sometimes it sounds pretty authentic, and other times it's kind of synthy. I like the back and forthness of it. NIce composition, and it really fits the mood of an epic sacrafice scene! Digging this.

Edit/Update: Finished touching up the track for the most part. I may -Still- do one more redo on the female lead, or maybe not depending on how I feel about it, but the rest should be good. I adjusted velocity levels for the drums and the staccato sections in choir and strings. Made minor tweaks to the harmonies in the choir near the end. All in all I'm pretty satisfied with it now.

Yeah, I know. There's a few spots where I wasn't too careful when jumping intervals, and the porta/legato effect became very very apparent lol. I'm planning on redoing it a bit more carefully to eliminate the portamento sound. Now, it works really nicely in whole or half-steps, even thirds. but once you start getting around 5ths, it gets pretty synthy sounding, like a mono-lead on legato mode hehe. But yeah, I totally dig the sound, and I forsee myself using that particular patch in the future as well.

I tried to shift moods to keep the idea from getting too stale. I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out so far. I just gotta do some touching up now ;)

Glad ya like!
