Just put up two of the newer songs I've been working on. The songs are "The hymn to st. haniel" and "The heart girt with a serpent". Both are still in the early mix stage, and I'm still kind of playing with arrangement, but they are overall complete, just needing to be polished. What do you guys think I can do to get the mix to sound better?

Wow, the drums on the hymn to st haniel are super awesome!

I think the hats could use a touch of reverb, they seem forward compared to the rest of the drums/mix.The low end in general could use some boosting (kick/bass) compared to the mids and highs. I like the piece overall though, can't wait to hear it with a bit more polish! Kind of ends suddenly...

Heart girl with a serpent... the guitars are kind of sitting on top of each other making the middle muddy, in my opinion. I don't have any specific advice except to play with the eq to try and give them a little more separation. Do you have 3 guitar lines going on at the same time? Low end could also use boost on this one. Good job on the drum pattern on this one too.

I think Coolo pretty much summed up everything I was gonna say, so I'll just say I echo his thoughts on the mixes.

I will add though, I really like what you did with the panning in Hymn. Very creative usage, and it works really well. Great stuff! In Heart Girt, I like the use of dissonance, and that it's not too overboard in its usage.

Just some minor tweaks on the mixes and I think they'll be good to go.
