Fugazi Snare

Does anybody have any suggestions on achieving the snare sound on Fugazi's 13 Songs, specifically Waiting Room or Bad Mouth? The quality on the video is shitty, but any opinions would be helpful.

It soudns to me (especially considering how a band liek fugazi would record) the sound has ALOT to do with the actual snare itself, it suonds to me like a wood pearl type snare, not too deep.

that kind of tight punch u hear is really about getting ur mic in the right position, gotta move it around to find out where the impact comes in the best, the sound is pretty small so any room should be ok as long as u dnot get weird reflections. And i think i hear a bit of reverb on it

the whole songs sounds pretty live, sounds like just a quality wood snare wound fairly tight.
