Hi all, not sure how long they've had this going, but it looks like Native Instruments has some more freebies.
Here's the blurb from my e-mail:
"KOMPLETE 7 PLAYERS includes 1 GB of free NI sounds. These sounds run in the included audio platforms REAKTOR 5 PLAYER, GUITAR RIG 4 PLAYER, KONTAKT 4 PLAYER and KORE 2 PLAYER, and are ready to use in your studio or on stage"
So it sounds like they did with these players what they did with the Kore2 Player, and included some free sounds to use. Sounded like a good thing to me, so I thought I'd pass it along.
The download is about a 1.6 GB rar file. Pretty much same steps as getting the kore2 freebie, activating via the service center, updating and whatnot.

Also, did some playing with the freebs last night. Gotta say there are some nice and very usable things in the package. Not much in the way of orchestral, but there are a few world instruments. Uillean pipes, a Ney flute, shakuhachi, a couple drums, and an Oud. (kinda like a middle-eastern variant of the mandolin, but lower keyed)
Couple guitars and basses, synths, some drum loops and kits, pretty nice overall.
The guitar-rig 4 amp sims included aren't bad either. Nice compliment to the ABG Shred. There's a pretty good synth included with reaktor, but not sure about the other stuff in it. Seems more for creating loops.
So yeah, all in all, a pretty good deal. Helps flesh out some more parts of my setup with some quality sounds and fx for sure!
I gotta say, it's nice when some of the bigwig companies throw together some free packs like this. Not exactly demos, but the limited sound palette includes very nice and usable instruments.

a little googling should turn it up.
Sep 03, 2010 08:15 pm Yep, I got that one way back last winter when I first heard about it. There are some nice sounds in there as well. I use the EW stuff to layer with some of my other sounds to flesh out the soundscape a bit more.

Sometimes, certain libraries do clash a bit, and it takes some adjusting to get them to mesh well, but it's usually not hard. Minor EQ tweaks with some spatial adjustments usually sets them in place.
