Hey I havn't been around HRC for a while but I'm back, with a q about a buzzing noise that occurs alot

Ok so I notice this buzzing some days, and others I don't notice it, all I know is that it goes away when I touch something metal in the chain of gear I'm using.
This happens when I'm recording bass &/or guitar, but it also happens when I'm just playing my guitar through my amp.
I've done some googling about it and noticed people mentioning something called a power conditioner.. would this really help at all?
If not, then what else can I do to get rid of this ghastly noise?

it has to be a grounding issue.
its earthing thru you when you touch it. youre just going to have to weed it out thru trial and error.
start with changing out leads one at a time.

i'd be real sus on the leads, what are they?
what sorta guitars are they? Is there a chance both of them have dodgey jacks? ie twisted wiring not contacting properly around the solder points.

what sorta amp is it? head and cab or combo?
how are your power leads hooked up? could it be a dodgey powerboard? any of these things could be doing it.
